Perfect Air, Perfectly Monitored
Just a few quick steps to get your Lennox Smart Air Quality Monitor set up and paired with the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat as part of a fully communicating home comfort system.
How it works
Install the Lennox Smart Thermostat App which, connected to the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat, allows you to monitor and control air quality from anywhere. Scan the QR code to download the app and view how-to videos.
How it works
The Smart Air Quality Monitor will collect data on fine particles (PM2.5), carbon dioxide (CO2) and volatile organic compounds (VOC) levels inside your home.
The Smart Air Quality Monitor transmits the data to the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat, which analyzes the data and displays it on the thermostat’s display and on the app.
When fair or poor air-quality levels are detected, the Smart Air Quality Monitor will use the indoor air quality equipment in your HVAC system to clean the air. If you do not have indoor air quality products or have consistent poor levels of pollutants in your home, the S40 Smart Thermostat will provide indoor air quality product recommendations to improve air quality (sold separately).
You are in complete control. The S40 Smart Thermostat will start cleaning the air when the Smart Air Quality Monitor detects fair or poor air quality, however, you can postpone cleaning the air when you want to. For example, if you are enjoying the fragrance of a scented candle, you can postpone cleaning the air for a specific period of time.
Key Features and Tools
Knowing the details of a few key features will make both you and your home smarter.
More perfect air together.
When your HVAC system includes Healthy Climate indoor air quality products, it can more effectively address the problems it detects. In fact, the Lennox Smart Air Quality Monitor is the only monitor available that enables on-demand ventilation, purification and filtration based on real-time air quality reading.
Perfect air, perfectly monitored.
The Lennox Smart Air Quality Monitor detects and tracks particulates, carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds (TVOC's) inside the home. When poor quality air is detected, it triggers your system to cycle and clean the air, providing peace of mind that your family is breathing the most healthy, perfect air.

Greater control is at your fingertips
When connected to the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat, homeowners can monitor and control the home's air quality from anywhere using Lennox Home App.
Smart. Inside and out.
Real-time weather tracking meets seamless connectivity and communication. When paired with a ventilation system, it tracks the outdoor stats. If the climate conditions inside are better than what's outside, the Lennox Smart Air Quality Monitor will tell the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat not to ventilate the home.
Greater range. Greater performance.
The Lennox Wireless Extender improves the connection between the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat and technologically advanced accessories, such as the Smart Room Sensor and Smart Air Quality Monitor, in larger homes or areas with reduced coverage or "dead spots". This strengthened connection nearly doubles the coverage area and thus enhances reliability, performance, and usability. (sold separately)

No, do not paint the air quality monitor. Doing so could affect the monitoring functions of the sensors.
The Smart Air Quality Monitor needs 24V power connection, so we recommend your dealer uses the same connection used for the S40. If you wish to have it installed in a different area, your Lennox dealer can use a 24V transformer for power as long as it is within reach of the allowable communication range of the S40 thermostat. You can place the Smart Air Quality Monitor in a common living area. The Smart Air Quality Monitor needs to be installed on the wall
We do not recommend that you move the Smart Air Quality Monitor once it is installed. If you do need to relocate the monitor, call your Lennox dealer for assistance.
Ensuring you have clean air inside your home is why you purchased the Smart Air Quality Monitor. We do not recommend that you postpone cleaning your air when your S40 activates one of the cleaning mechanisms. However, there may be times when you intentionally will want to postpone cleaning the air. Examples are: you are painting inside the home, installing floors, when you have your windows or doors open to let fresh air in or if you are trying to enjoy a scented candle.
